Pet Policy

To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, we kindly request prior pet approval, as not all rooms or cottages are pet-friendly. A pet fee and specific restrictions apply. Please note that pets are not permitted in the pool area. Thank you for understanding. We strive to maintain a welcoming environment for everyone at The Darlington Inn & Cottages.

Guest Policies

  • Check-out is at 11:00 AM to ensure a smooth transition for incoming guests.
  • For the safety and comfort of all guests, our accommodations adhere to fire code regulations, limiting the maximum number of occupants per room.
  • Guests are invited to stay on the property until 11:00 p.m. Any additional guests exceeding the room's occupancy after this time may result in eviction without a refund.
  • To maintain a peaceful environment, quiet hours are observed from 11:00 PM to 9:00 a.m. Disturbances during these hours may lead to eviction without a refund.
  • The Darlington Inn & Cottages strictly prohibits criminal activities, including drug use, possession, distribution, or paraphernalia, both on and off the premises. Engaging in such acts will result in immediate eviction without a refund.

Age Requirements and Security Deposit

Guests must be 18 years old to rent a room at The Darlington Inn & Cottages. To ensure a pleasant stay, a refundable security deposit is required for guests aged 18 to 21.

Rooms & Cottages Guidelines

  • All our units are strictly non-smoking to maintain a clean and healthy environment. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged for violations of this policy. Smoking is permitted on balconies; please use designated disposal areas for cigarette waste.
  • Our housekeeping department provides towels, linens, and kitchenware sufficient for the maximum allowed occupancy in each unit. Guests are responsible for any damages or missing items, which will be charged at replacement prices.
  • Please refrain from taking hotel items such as blankets, bedspreads, and towels to the beach to ensure the comfort of all guests.

Policy on Gatherings and Parties

Prior approval is required for any large gatherings or parties to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests.

Parking Policy

Guests must always display a valid parking pass on their vehicle's dashboard or rearview mirror while on the property. Parking is free for all guests. Please inform us in advance if you have more than one vehicle, as parking space is limited.

Balcony Guidelines

For safety reasons, barbecuing on balconies is prohibited as per state fire marshal regulations. Additionally, please refrain from throwing objects, spitting, or creating excessive noise from balconies. Any disturbances observed will result in eviction from the premises without a refund.

Room Services and Amenities

  • Housekeeping is available upon request to respect your privacy. Please inform the front desk if you prefer one-time or daily cleaning services, excluding emergencies.
  • You can exchange towels and washcloths at any time in the office.
  • The office is stocked with essential items like trash bags, toilet paper, soap, and more for your convenience.
  • We do not currently offer on-site laundry services for guests.

Pool Guidelines

  • Enjoy our pool facility, open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
  • For safety reasons, glass items are not permitted in the pool area.
  • Please wear appropriate swimwear while using the pool.
  • Children who are not potty-trained must wear swim diapers to maintain cleanliness.
  • Before entering the pool, we kindly ask guests to rinse off any sand to help keep the pool clean for everyone's enjoyment.
